For the first time, Lando Norris has won a Formula 1 grand prix – at the 110th attempt, taking the chequered flag in the Miami Grand Prix.
He defeated Max Verstappen in a straight fight following a safety car restart, having emerged in the lead thanks to the fortunate timing after a crash for Logan Sargeant after being hit by Kevin Magnussen.
It is the 309th victory for a British driver in F1, with Norris the 21st Briton and 114th driver overall to claim a win.
He is the first Briton to do so since George Russell at the 2022 Sao Paulo Grand Prix.
