California natives Davante Adams and his beloved wife Devanne Villarreal’s (Devanne Joelle by her IG name) romance started two years before the athlete’s NFL Draft in 2014. They first met when they were students at Fresno State University in 2012. While Adams was pursuing his football career, his then-girlfriend opted to finish her degree. After graduation, she reportedly worked as an esthetician. After happily experiencing their long-time relationship, the couple then decided to take one step ahead in their love life.
Adams proposed to Joelle during their vacations in the Bahamas in 2017, the photos of which she posted on her Instagram, saying, “Thought we were just doing a casual photo shoot.. little did I know he had a bigger plan❤️ Davante thought out the most perfect, creative, heart felt, breathtaking proposal. Still can’t believe it.” In 2018, they married at Pebble Beach in Monterey County, California, before going to the Greek island of Santorini for their honeymoon.
Together, the couple share two daughters, Daija Leigh (September 2019) and Dezi Lynn (April 2022). In addition to them, Joelle is pregnant again with Adams’ child, probably a baby boy! Villarreal announced her pregnancy in April, sharing adorable clicks with her children, donning a white dress.
It has been 10 years and the couple will be celebrating their 6th wedding anniversary this month. Fans are hoping for another lovely post from the couple, as they celebrated their last anniversary, honoring their love.

On his 5th wedding anniversary, last year in June, Davante Adams shared his happiness on IG. He posted a couple of photos from his wedding day and their journey together, captioning it: “5 down…Happy anniversary to my beautiful wife.”

Wife Devanne Villarreal, on the other hand, reciprocated the joy on social media by sharing a picture of them together. She wrote, “10 years together, 5 years of marriage and 2 beautiful babies…Happy Anniversary.”
